i read in one of the stickies that alligator pipefish Syngnathoides biaculeatus can be kept in a brackish setup. does anyone else have experience with this? this is for sure a species on my wish list

It's Indo-Pacific, so I doubt that is the case. Most likely no lower than 1.020 specific gravity to be safe. It's probably a case that the parents in the wild go into the shallows to give birth and the young have likely been cited to live in brackish conditions.

i know that there are brackish pipefish, tho maybe not in the fish trade
