Rams and Apistos

I am working on stocking my 50 gallon. Is it ok to house a single male bolivian ram with a pair of apistos?

If the tanks footprint is longer than taller and with the right decor you shouldn't have too much of an issue. More than likely your fish will encounter one another but as long as the other can swim faster and get away from that specific territory all should be fine..

I had rams and cacs together and they did well.

The apistos should be kept in trios as they are harem spawners.
