Anyone know if I can get tilapia in Ca? Specifically blues reds or nile ?
I would love to have a couple in a 60 gal for a while.

I eat Tilapia when i go in holiday to the US lol. Its sooo nice.

yep they are illegal i believe as well but on a good note i had some battered tilapia tonight.. just joshen..

you can catch them freely in the fresh waterways of florida, i hear they are common there..

They dont live in water colder than the 60s Funny that they are illegal. The water here now where I live is in the high 40s. No surprise from the same that make ferrets and any kangaroo product illegal.

Tilapia zilli are illegal except in some counties where you can have them if you have a permit? That seems strange, why not be able to have them in all counties with a permit.

Here in Texas ferrets are also treated like cats and dogs. My vet specializes in ferret care. They even have ferret clubs. The local feed store down the street has one that just showed up one day and lives in the building and eats the mice and rats. Maybe California is afraid that the ferrets will escape their owners and establish themselves in the wild and wipe out a lot of the rat and mice population, lol.

ahhh the socialist republic of california...also cant have magazines over 5 rounds for guns because 6 might kill someone. Did you have to sign a contract allowing them to regulate ridiculous aspects of your life when you moved there?

Hey did they make the African clawed frogs, Ramshorn and apple snails illegal in Cali as well, just curious.. they did here in KY last year.. i guess they think they could survive 30o water here..
