sea urchin droping spikes

i have a 29 gallon bio cube 3o pounds of lr and all my pH and all that good stuff is perfect i gust checked it and its dropping spikes but it still looks healthy and it moving a round but i haven't seen it eat for 3 days and there is a lot of algae for him to eat on the rocks and is there aney thing i can give him to eat pleas help not for me think of the sea urchin thanks...:help2::help2::help2::rant2::hypnotized::hypnotized::bling::bling:
 
its ok i fount out and my heater is brok i lloked at the temp and put my hand in and tank i dont know how aney thing is alive its is so hot in there its unblviblle
 
Is it dead yet? Maybe you can throw some ice in there and save everything.
 
i took the heater oout annd the fish look much better but the urchin passed to day i had a little funarul for the poor guy but what i think he died from is whaen i changed the tank he spaon and do they die after that....????????????
 
I was going to suggest checking your alkalinity as any large or quick difference is a common cause for urchins to start casting off their spines. But..... you've obviously figured out another cause. Sorry to hear you lost it.
