Gauging interest in an AC t-shirt sale

I want to know how many people would be interested in purchasing a t-shirt with an AC design/logo. The shirts would be $15 shipped in US or $20 shipped overseas. Please answer honestly as this will determine whether a printing is done or not.

Would there be women's sizes or just men's? A lot of cool shirts I have are sized for men, so the shoulder of the shirt goes past my actual shoulder and halfway down my upper arm. Makes me not wanna wear them so much outside of the house. I understand if it'd be too much of a pain though. I think a dark grey the same shade as the grey skin for this site would look pretty cool.

I have difficult with the mens shirts too, but I believe they are the most applicable to the broadest spectrum. I will get with Li about this and see what he says about an AC printing. I think the t-shirt design contest is a great idea.

It will never fade! Plus, if your black is fadeing that bad you should switch to something that doesnt contain bleach. Use Bounce?

I don't bleach my clothes and I use fabric softener. Dark shirts just fade because the color bleeds out in to the water. There is not much that can be done to stop it. It happens to all colored clothes over time, but black shows it the worse.

The fact is the material T-shirts are made out of does not hold dye well. Black being the darkest tends to fade the fastest. Even the shirt in your Av looks like it is faded to me.

It would depend strongly on the design. The more understated the better if its going to retain any degree of 'coolness'. I don't know if they sell MFK shirts with the 'devil' M logo but that would be a winner. It should be relatively easy to get an assortment of colors after the screening is set but a black version is essential :)

Here's an idea, why don't you have the contest to design the logo and such but then, post the logo here on the website and allow people to go to cafepress.com or wherever and cutomize it themselves? It might be a buck or two more expensive for us, gut I am sure the customization will sway people. THis way will also prevent against any people that ordered one, but cannot, or won't pay. This will basically take out the middle man, so we could do it direcetly.

But if that isn't an option, then I vote for dark colors with pull over/zip up hoodies and t-shirts.

They have those at your local jail. . . . . in your size no less! You just need a magic marker for the finishing touches. The long sleeve version is at your nearest psyche ward - it's called a "straight jacket". . . also in your size!

I would definitely get several if it was through cafepress.com. Then I could get my t-shirt, hoodie, and a bag. I always bring my own bags when I go shopping and every time I go to a club meeting or to the fish store I wish I had a bag with the AC logo on it. Last week I really wished I had business cards with AC's address on it! I'm sure my LFS would put out cards for AC. The guys there are really supportive of one of the Saltwater Forums.

Sure, it'd work on cafepress (I'd never buy from them, heard too many bad reports), but for high quality printed t-shirts it's not likely we're going to get more than maybe a couple styles and color choices. It's just not very practical to offer more.
Personally, I would've thought people would be happy just to get a choice of either black or white on a short sleeve tee.

I didn't read the whole thread, my apologies if it has already been said.

I only purchase/wear 'Pocket Tees'. Usually darker colors and pre-shrunk.
Silk Screen only, No Thick Iron Type Stuff that makes me sweat. LOL

So, If it don't have a pocket, I won't buy it.

something like that i think is just not feasible. take it i dont know much of anything about printing.... but i am sure there are costs involved in setting up each design..... like mfk i think its going to be limited to one design.... depending on demand i am guessing there may or may not be hoody just like mfk......

i for one will be several no matter what design is on there or what color.....

there will be more info out..... just making sure if we make them people will buy them so neo isnt stuck with them..... remember this is to benfit us the users to show our pride......
