Hey guys, I just recently set up my planted aquairum (28 g bowfront). I have a 55 w light strip with a reflector from ahsupply. Flourite black sand as substrate and dry ferts with flourish excel. Okay so I just added the ludwigia like a week or two ago and it has been doing horribly. The plant has all these brown leaves that droop and look as if they are going to fall off. I leave the aquarium light on for about 8-10 hrs a day. But just in general, the plant looks really really bad. I recieved it in great condition but I'm afraid I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone suggest anything? I dose the dry ferts daily (following the fert index method) And thats pretty much it for now. The only other plants I have in there are 6 baby stems of hygro corymbosa "stricta". Thanks for your help!

Post some pics. IMO this maybe cause by lighting or ferts. Plants need time to adjust. Try stop dosing ferts and 50% water change. This will reset the water parameter.Add DIY co2 if u prefer plants to grow faster.

also remember some plants melt when put in another tank, this could bewhats happening. it may take time to bounce back

My ludwigia repens never did well. It arrived in great condition but worsened over the span of a couple months. Eventually the stems started to rot and break off any time a fish would swim by. I finally got fed up and trashed it last week.

I don't think I had the WPG (1.8) to foster healthy growth.

I can't seem to kill my ludwigia... I think you need some more lighting maybe.
