I need a few quick questions answered on the all time loveable Yoyo Loaches.
Q1. How long do they live for?
Q2. Can they be kept with guppies?
Q3. Most importantly, will they eat eggs &/or fry?
Thanks in advance

The will eat eggs and fry. They can be kept with adult guppies. Life expectancy is relative to water quality, food, and whether or not they get any diseases/parasites, but quite a few years.
I need a few quick questions answered on the all time loveable Yoyo Loaches.
Q1. How long do they live for? Should live over 20 years.
Q2. Can they be kept with guppies? Not a good idea IMO.
Q3. Most importantly, will they eat eggs &/or fry? Yes.
Thanks in advance

I have yo yo loaches with my guppies and no problem at all. The ones I have are very peaceful!
I guess it is a trial and error thing!
HTH!!

Yoyos are not aggressive. They are playfull, boisterous and very fast. Its not that they will intentionally harm the guppies, the guppies would just do better in a more peaceful setting.

How big is your tank? I wouldn't keep yoyos in less than a 55gal. They grow to 6 in. They need room to swim and explore and loaches should have clean well oxygenated water with good flow, more than guppies or bettas would be happy with.

At full grown they can pick off newly born guppie fry, if given the oportunity. Wich mine have done.
