Is it safe to keep Java moss and ancistrus plecos? I guess the leaves are too narrow to be eaten by those fishes?!

the bristle nose wont touch the moss. they wont d amage any plants. i love them.

Except at time broad leaf plants such as Swords, which they may rasp a bit more than is good for the plants.

I wish I could I agree with you chinaboy! My ancistrues like swords & java ferns so much, that I have to regulary feed them with spinach leaves or algae tablets. And that still doesn't help 100% !

Hey Turin,
The first time I put Jave moss in my tank, my pleco ate it all in a couple of days. I was rather pissed because moss is one of my favorites. Well, I got some more put it in another tank in which it took off. I decided to try again with the extra. I put some back in the tank with the pleco and it has not touched it yet.
So in conclusion, "I DON'T KNOW" :D I guess it depends how hungry they are. since the first try I have been adding more vegies to the tank, giving him alot more stuff to munch on.

i have a sailfin and he dosent mess with any plants.
