I was thinking about setting up a pisto tank, something from the cacatuoides family.
On one site they mentioned they only eat live brine shrimp.
Has anyone that has kept these little guys ever gotten them to eat anything else? is so what?

thanks,

jb

When I had my apistos, I never had an issue with them eating any quality fish food. With some of my wilds it took up to 3days before they got aclamated but ate vigerously after.

That's a good reason never to visit that site again: wrong information. :irked: I don't own cacs, but I know for a fact they'll eat most any fish food: flake, pellet, freeze-dried, frozen. They'll certainly enjoy brine shrimp, but you can give them a variety: in fact, it will be better for them.

I've had several species and they all ate everything.
