well in my 33 gallon tank.. my fishes like platies and mollies were having their tails and fins weared off. i changed the waterm and they got back their tails and fins. but then there were white spots on fins of specially the sword tails and gold fishes.... then i was adviced and quite convinced to add some antiseptic liquid!!!!! to the water and surprisingly the fishes are OK now!!!

now tell me was this right to do???????
 
I'm glad your fish are OK. What's the name of the medication did you put into your tank? What temperature is your tank? Goldfish prefer cooler water.
 
white spots sounds like ICH. thats usually what the disease is when there are white spots. most ich cures out there work well and pretty fast. however some can be harmful to scaleless fish which u dont have.
 
what is your water change schedule?
Sounds like they got some finrot, and the water changed helped them to grow back their bad fins, but then did you keep on the water changes?

The best medicine for sick fishes is clean water..
 
Sounds like both, Ich and Fin rot
havnt had a tank long enough to expeirence disease
So i guess just Find some medication for both of the diseases and treat em?
