I just finished watch the movie Seven Pounds. What interested me is that in the movie someone keeps a jellyfish. I was wonder if anyone has ever had one?
Funny you mentioned that. My sister was given a pair of jellyfish. I took one look at the jar and shook my head in disbelief. I explained to her she has no proper equipments to keep the jellyfish given to her and she refused to believe. I just muttered to myself about being sympathetic with the jellies and they died the next day. Not many people can keep them for a long time. Research them and you'll find out why.
LOL....What interested me is WHY he was filling up the jellyfish tank with a hose pipe when he moved the tank into his appartment and WHY he never filled it properly...
I've seen tanks made by a jellyfish-tank-making company in a magazine before... Can't remember what it was called, if I find it I'll be sure to post it here.

I agree with Lupin. From what I've read in articles from various sources is that jellyfish are difficult to take care of. It can be done, but like an octopus, jellyfish will not be long-lived in home aquaria. There are aquariums special-made specifically for jellyfish, which I'm sure would help a person's odds of keeping their jellies alive if they're just starting out in saltwater, but I don't think you necessarily need those aquariums to keep jellies.
Jelly fish need curved glass the entire way around otherwise then will run into it and basically comit suicide. They need a special device that is able to feed them because fish food isn't enough. It needs to be something that can be suspended in water.
I knew watching the discovery channel would pay off in my hobby. To bad I am not going to shell out 3 grand for a jelly.
