Question about live rock bacteria and SG

I had to tear down my big tank to move it and since then it has been sitting with just the live rock in it to keep it live. Because of working a lot and going out of town a couple of times I neglected to check it and when I finally did I realized that my SG had risen to .040. I have since brought it down to .026 but does anybody know what the chances are that the bacteria is still alive?

provided that it was not under extreme amounts of cold or heat, bacteria should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I should be okay then since I doubt that temp would be a problem. I haven't had a heater running but I am in Florida and even though we have had some cold weather it has not gotten too cold inside. Thanks again!
