turtle calcium blocks for shrimp?

the guy at the lfs reccomended Wardley's turtle tank neutralizers with calcium as a calcium supplement for my CRS. I broke off a tiny chunk, and threw it in my 15 paludarium, which has about 20 CRS in it... and have noticed shrimp actively scouting and picking off the block.

anyone else had experience with them? good? bad?

I just drop some reptile foods containing calcium for my snails and they go for it immediately even to the point I find almost all snails already at the surface to grab them. They're floating granules by the way. I don't see anything wrong with using it if your shrimps actually love them.
