So i got layed off from work a month ago and the job market sucks so i decided to start a new venture. i talked my parents into funding a breeding set up for clowns to keep me busy. right now it consists of a 29 gal main tank, a 20 long frag/skimmer tank, a 10 gallon fry tank and a 50 gal fuge. here are some pics of the set up in the beginging stages. i still have to set up a few holding tanks for the juvies and rotifer culture tanks but i have the main system up and being water tested. there will be about 70lbs of lr, a deep sand bed and some cheato in the fuge/sump. there will be about 40lbs of rock strung out in the other 3 tanks.

Sounds like a fun project. What type of clowns are you going to raise? Keep us posted as to how things are going with your endeavor. Aquacultured clowns are the way to go. No more pillaging of mother nature.

i wanted to do black but they are to hard to find but there is i nice pair of clarkii's at my lfs that i might get but still trying to find the blacks.

That table looks likely to collapse in the middle with all those tanks full. Nice setup, but I would have built/bought a proper stand for it.

ditto. get a proper stand before that awesome idea turns into an expensive useless mess.

i am adding bracing to the middle to support it. a lot cheaper than building a whole stand.

i would like to see some more pics... step by step... im loveing the set up man never saw any thing like it....not to be a **** but better pics whould be better...........:silly::silly::silly:

sorry the pics were done on my cell phone. well here is the update. two weeks in i have everything set up and running. i scored 130lbs of lr for 200 off a local reefer breaking down his system and got 75 lbs of ls in the deal too. can beat it. the rock was great. small cycle about 5 days. picked up my mated pair of clarkii's today and they are doing great. so here are some pics step by step.

here are pics from the day and the day after i got all the rock into the system and the skimmer up and running.
