I was wondering if there was a list of online stores. I was looking at some good stores this week and can't find them again. It would be great to have a list as a sticky.

Right now I don't know enough about plants to know. I am setting up a 10 gallon that I want to try out the concepts from "The Ecology of the Planted Aquarium". I called freshwateraquariumplants.com and he is sending me a large assortment for my 29 gallon. I am using pea gravel with a little latterite, substrate heating, 55 watts and a little CO2. I am going to see what he sends and then decide what I can use in the 10 gallon. The 10 gallon will be potting soil, 26 watts CFL, invertabrates and perhaps a couple of small fish. At first I am hoping I can plant the 10 gallon with cuttings from the 29.
I am just trying to collect a list of suppliers so I can see what is available. I feel like a painter that does not know what colors of paint he can buy. I have been reading Amano's books and I really like his sense of design. Years ago I did set and lighting design for regional theaters. I no longer have time to do that but I think the skills will help in a planted aquarium.

I recently placed an order with www.aquariumplants.com (http://www.aquariumplants.com) and the packaging was horrible. The plants were in a thin plastic bag, all piled in together and then thrown in a box. No other packing material. Most of the plants were rotten. While the weather has been cold, I think they could have at least tried to pack them more efficiently.
