Boiling Live Rock for Cichlid Tank

I was wondering if I could boil some old dead live rock that I have and put it in my african cichlid tank?

I am told a good boil would do it. I would let it set for a couple of days to have any disolvable stuff to do so. :)

yeah, its been setting out for like 8 months, when I **** down my Nano reef I had like 9 pds of live rock and thought wow! this might go in my cichlid tank.

Plese do the boil though and then 2-3 days to set out.
