So after accidentally buying glosso thinking it was a different low-light plant, I got a new 65 watt light for my tank (29 gallon). The glosso is definitely growing with new leaves sprouting which is awesome but now I don't know exactly how I should trim it. It was already about 1.5 inches tall when I bought it and it's just getting taller. I know that without high light and CO2 it might just have a taller growth form but since it started out so tall I'm not sure how to tell. How do I trim the glosso and how will I know if I can get the lower sidways growth form like the carpets I see in so many of your tanks? Thanks!

From my experience, cut of the tops, making sure to leve some leaves on the bottom portion, then take the trimming and plant it SIDEWAYS in the substrate ie. the stem prtion planted and the leaves sticking up. I found the easiest way to do it was to hold the trimmed end with tweezers and basically pull it sideways into the substrate. that should lead to the travelling runners you see in the carpet-like tanks
