How rare are chinese zebra shrimp?

I have a breeding colony and i have heard they are really rare shrimps.i read that they are extremely hard to come by and only from importing.Anyone have a clue about them?I had enough to sell to someone but now im not sure if there really this rare.Here is the info i found on them

acording to that link they are hard to come by as they are rarely imported. sounds like they are pretty rare unless you know someone who has them already.

That link is from 2004 I think, they are not common, but I wouldn't call them rare. They are beautiful though, I also wouldn't mind having some.

These shrimp are indeed rarely seen for sale and not often imported anymore either. Do you have any photos of yours? I too would love to buy some from you.... Last I saw them they were selling for around 6.00 each.

I would love to get some as well. How do you know they are actuallychinese zebra shrimp and not some other species that looks similar? I am not accusing you of anything just curious how you know what species you actually have.

lol i can get zebra shrimp from china does that count lol dont think they are rare at all just harder to find since they are not that flashy.

i bought them as chinese zebra shrimp and the fact that they look exactly like the ones in the pic helps;)
I did see these on aquabid too but they seem to be indian zebra shrimp not chinese.
Thanks for all the offers everyone but as of right now i think im going to hold on to them until i breed some more.Right now i have about 50 or so and should probably up there number some.

I will keep this thread handy when i do have some for sale though.

Do you have a photo? Sometimes Tiger Shrimp are listed as Zebra from China. The one pictured in the first post's link are somewhat rare to see on the market. If you can indeed get this shrimp, Caridina sp. "Chinese Zebra" (belongs to the Caridina serrata species complex)

a little slow to answer but they have tiger right bellow it..... no pic..... maybe ill have to order some. no ro and ada still cycling its hard for me with 8ph water lol
