I have a weather loach, a chinese algae eater, and a raphael catfish, and I plan on getting a clown loach and a yo-yo loach. Im very tempted to buy bottom feeder food as I dont want to overfeed my tank and have the ammonia go up, but i dont want to under feed them. I bought some wardley algae disks and the algae eater doesnt seem to find them and the loach sometimes takes a bite, but they dont seem to like them. First of all, can all bottom feeders eat these things, secondly should i buy some bottom feeder pellets?

Is this in your 29g? The waether loach, catfish & CAE are more than enough bottom feeders. Clown & yoyo loaches get too large for even short term & need to be kept in groups of 5+. Check out loaches.com
Bottom feeder foods like wafers & pellets are fine for your current fish. Thawed frozen bloodworms are a nice treat twice per week.

clowns get 10+ inches. i only got mine because im planning on upgrading anyways to a 125 which is minimum for em. yoyos get to about 6-7 inches i think it and again are to big. stock with your weather there just as nice and i was gonna get 1 till decided to upgrade and went with clowns.
