This is the second time I was victimized and almost losing the same cellphone one idiot tried to grab two years ago. I was about to head for the university this morning and chose the front seat of a jeep which can accommodate two passengers. Someone chose the front seat despite only one passenger at the back. I thought it was strange. He struck a conversation with a driver as if he was an old friend. The driver simply feigned deafness and I was shocked at first by the driver's attitude. He decided to pay his fare and then "accidentally" the coins. I "helped" him pick one coin first. He asked to search for the other between my feet. I simply raised my foot lazily and then found one near his shoe. I was about to grab it when I began to realize what if this was just a ploy? I glanced at my right pocket and sure enough, his hand was already there!:mad2: I grabbed my pocket and stared stonily at the snatcher at the point I already turned pale and teary eyed. He kept apologizing over and over and eventually went down the vehicle, much to my relief although I was shaken already when I reached the university.
This is pathetic. People are victimizing the poor students.:headshake2: I already reported this incident to the security and demanded they add more law enforcers in the university belt. In the meantime, I'm getting more wary now. This is traumatic to me.
Would anyone suggest pepper spray is the best defense mechanism?
