I got a great deal on a Coralife 24" 65watt PC light with a 10000k lamp, I'm using this on a 20 gallon planted, is it worth the $30 to get the 6700k lamp for it? From what I've read the 6700k would be ideal but 10000k works just fine? Currently I have a standard florescent fixture with a daylight bulb on there as well.

I have a Coralife 96 watt bulb over my 30 and I wanted the option for the 10K and actinic bulb, to bring my fishes color out. The plants love it. 10K simulates high noon. It will work just fine. Plus it wont give you the yellow appearance.

$30 for a 55/65 watt PC bulb is outrageous.
The 10,000K will work just fine for growing plants. Depending on the brand and age it may appear to be yellow/green or even blue.
Here is a link to a really good bulb-GE 9325K 55/65watt straight pin.
