These are shrimp/fish safe and are tiny dwarf crays. The picture probably makes them look bigger than they really are. They're only slightly larger than adult shrimp and a little stockier. Old amano shrimp (large) are bigger than these crays.
These little guys are incredibly cute. Sometimes, when I walk up to my tank to watch them, they'll see me and charge up in front and wave their claws at me. Lots of personality and I highly recommend them for anyone who wants some kind of interaction with their inverts. Shrimp and snails tend to just ignore their keepers but these guys will take notice of you. :perv:

Well, they're mainly doing that to tell me to "gtfo" but it does look like they're waving at me. Hahaha

those are cool lookin but they're what, $20 each? whew. What does CPO stand for, btw, all I could find on a quick search was FS threads that didn't list the whole name.

Awesome looking shrimp.
Dwarf Crayfish, not a shrimp. Which is what makes them much more amazing. A crayfish that is fish and shrimp friendly! I forgot to mention, plant friendly too! Truly an amazing sp. There are other dwarf crays that behave similar to these but I believe these dwarf orange crays are the one that catches people's eyes the most.
CPO stands for Cambarellus patzcuarensis 'Orange'
This is just a color variant of the original Cambarellus patzcuarensis. Long name, hence why most people just abbreviate with "CPO" for short.
These are generally sold in groups or in pairs.
Pairs go for about 50-60 dollars each.

bwahahahaha!
Shrimp and fish safe, but do they kill snails? They look more than capable, if they choose to put their claws to good use.

She's finally pregnant! :-) It took 2 days after the mating ritual for the eggs to show up. However, my crays have been doing this mating thing for about a week now, on and off. I guess protection finally broke? :perv:
The picture looks faded, not sure why...
