30 Hex pictures and progress thread.

I figured I would post a few pictures of my 30 hex, and also for progress. This is the 2nd day I have had Pressurized C02. I will come back and post more pics to check on coloration and growth.

Equipment.

Marineland 200 Filter (200GPH)
JBJ Regulator,solenoid,needle valve,bubble counter (2 BPS)
GLA diffuser,drop checker
18 Inch Coralife 96 watt PC.

Plants.

3 Anubias Nana
1 Anacharis(Nursing it back to health)
2 Amazon Swords
3 Rotala verticillaris
9 Stems of Ludwigia repens x arcuata

Livestock.


13 Neon tetra's
6 Male Guppies
3 Cory cats
5 Otto's

I am using 1 bag 15lb bag of Flourite as Substrate, and have one piece of Mopani Driftwood. I have my temp at a constant 76.4 degrees with lights on, and 74 with them off.

Looking good so far! How do you like the JBJ Regulator? I'm trying to chose between that one and the Milwaukee.

I like the JBJ. I was going to choose the Milwaukee but did some research on it, and people have had problems with it. JBJ had better reviews. The milwaukee has had problems witht he needle valve. One guy on this forum said he would go with a different regulator as his milwaukee, the needle valve is less than desirable.

very nice!! do me a favor, take a pic of the complete tank so I can get a look at the set up. see Im getting a free one of these for mom this week and I will b darned as to what to get her and set up as filter, heater etc. show me the full tank please))))))))))))

Awesome!! where did you get the glass top?? the one Im getting has the old platic top and light i want to upgrade for mom. very nice indeed!!

The top came with the tank when I bought it.

You can go to any petstore that sells tanks and they can order you one. Or you can go thru who ever makes the tank.
