Hi, I have a old 55gal tank (no hood/canopy or stand) that was given to me years ago, the tank had craked frames, silicon had dry out and the tank was being used as storage box http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif, I rescued the tank, replace the frame, reglued, etc... fast forward 5 years and still going strong. However since the abuse by the previous owner the tank has visible scratches and some chips in the corners, to me it gives the tank some caracter, you know, like scars and that sort of things http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/images/smilie/icon_smile.gif, nothing really major that affect the tank basic function (hold water).
My wife recently start complaining about the aestetics of the glass, etc and she finally agree to buy a new tank.
I painted the back of the tank in black and that can be easly removed with a sharp glass scraper with out scratching the glass.
I live in Brandon, so local pickup only. I will guestimate the trade value around ~50$
I'm looking for background plants low/med light or canister for my new 55gal tank or freshwater shrimps.
