I have this one plant in my aquarium, im told its a low light plant but im not really sure what it is, can anyone identify this plant? The other question is that one branch of the plant, the leaves are turning black at the edges. What could this be and what could i do to fix/prevent the problem.
Thanks!

It looks like some kind of Anubias and the black is probably small tufts of black beard algae.

I hate aquatc plants, especially when they are sold as aquatic. My lfs tells you that most of there plants are non aquatic and will need replacing in a few weeks. Why would you bother geting non-aquatic if you new they would need replacing?
Akimarain, i had black edges on a plant when it was too close to the heater.

guess terrarium plants count as aquatic since one can have it partially in water.. I actually had this plant in my tank for months and didnt experience any rot, but then again didnt experience any growth either.

Do they explain why they think it's reasonable to sell unsuitable plants?

It was kinda hard to make out.
I thought it resembled an Elm Tree Sapling.

Now that I look at it some more, it does look non aquatic. I advice the OP to take it out before it rots in the tank.

I took the plant out of the aquarium and put it in a pot in the window sill. i hope it survives the transition.

Be lucky your LFS tells you that it isnt aquatic. My store just says that they dont know anything about the plant.
How is that plant doing, every time I have tried to transition a plant out of the tank, it dies, usually the leaves get thin and dry up
