I was wondering if plants can live by sunlight. Of course the plants will be in an aquarium with no fish or invertebrates.
sure can.. i mean in nature thats how they manage lol only issue is getting 2 much sun and having a big algae bloom

Make sure ur tank got direct sunlight for not more than 3 hours. I use natural sunlight to grow some of my plants. I shaded some part of the tank, so the tank doesn't have direct light for long time. But it needs a lot of adjustments and once u make a mistake u got urself an algae and that's less forgiving and hard to get rid of since u can't control how much light ur tank get accruately.
