A lot of the tanks I see on Craiglist have been drilled (guessing for salt water or something). If I buy one of these tanks, how easy is it to fix the holes? or is it just not worth the headache?

It's not likely that you can "fix" the hole. The quickest and easiest way to "plug" the hole would be to install a bulkhead (if not already installed) and then attache a PVC nipple to it and place a cap over the PVC. Basically this would create an inoperative bulkhead. It may not look as nice as you would like, but it will work!

or just put a plug in the bulkhead and eliminate the nipple and cap..
same difference though.
you probably could patch an acrylic tank with some sort of epoxy I bet, but i doubt if it would be clear..
