Who is a more aggressive fish, convicts or oscars? In my expirience I must say convicts becuase my convict ate the osars eye, and killed him. What do ya think?

How big was your Oscar? I keep hearing about this eye eating thing and I'm getting nervous because I have a convict in with an Oscar. My convict though is a big wuss around my Oscar and JD and just lets them chase him around. He needs medication to heal his wounds and tattered fins. Convicts can be agressive though especially when defending a flower pot:)

The oscar was 1/3 larger than the convict, but he got took out. H e died. The convict killd 'em. JUST LIKE A REAL HUMAN CONVICT.,

oscars are pretty pathetic aggression wise compared to most cichlids. and convicts are rated pretty high. Their only limit is that they dont get as large as the big boys.

my convict is one big wuss compared to my Oscar and JD. He just pushes himself into a corner.

Oscars are like that guy who thinks hes all that cause hes big and in this case has a big mouth who isnt that big. Convicts are the same smaller, only they are armed ;)

An Oscar is not a mean fish, he is just big (or will get big). Convicts are much meaner!!

For the most part, convicts will be much more aggressive than an oscar. Good thing convicts stay small, or they'd be real terrors. Then again each fish will have a different personality... you can have very meek convicts and very aggressive oscars.
