I want some cichlids for my 29 gallon, and I dont want them to kill/quarrel with my other fish... Look at my signature and the fish i have at the bottom and thats my 29 gallon.
What are the most passive cichlids????

Umm, angelfish are cichlids :D
Latacara curviceps would be a good choice. A. borelli, kribensis, and pretty much any of the other dwarf cichlids.

Even w/out the goldfish and weather loach (which DON'T belong in a tropical community tank for several reasons) the 29 is going to be ruled by the angelfish when it grows out. Overall they are a relatively mild cichlid (assuming a single angelfish in the 29), but expect problems from the CAE if/when it gets larger. If you want to mix cichlid species a larger tank is necessary.
I own some African type cichlids... From observing them, they are stubborn, if another fish is semi-agressive towards them, theyll send the fish into depression mode for a normal aquarium stock anyways. Also, depending on how many you are looking to get, make sure the female to male ratio is right, all males will be territorial to an extent, and if you end up with 1 female to over 2 males , you'll end up like me and loose a fish, and it will depend on who has more dominant. The world of Cichlids is a vast one, with many species and sub species, as well as mixed.... If I could have done it over again, i would have spent a good long few weeks figuring out EXACTLY which ones I wanted.
Oh, and on another note, i've never had a problem with Mbuna Cichlids anyways, as far as a CAE , in fact, when introducing my fish into a newer home, the female and CAE hid together for the first few hours.

Your tanks don't have room as it is. Both are far overstocked.

Yellow lab. Nails food as it hits surface then quits (fills up quick). Plus contrasts to blues, browns, and blacks. Nice 4 a cichlid. Hand feed mine.
As far as agressiveness... I find that my electric yellow is very pleasant, he is like the cute puppy dog of the tank who greets you when you are near. Never seen him chase or being chased by another fish of mine.
Err yeah, it might be a yellow lab, yellow body/black fins.

IMHO a yellow lab is a completely inapprpropriate choice for a 29 gallon in and of itself, let alone mixing African cichlids with South Americans. Another huge issue I see here is that the goldfish and weather loach are mixed with tropicals. This tank is overstocked as it is and has no room for any other fish. Also, expect aggression issues from the CAE as it matures.

:iagree:
I would not put any mbuna is a 29 gallon even peaceful labs. Remember, as peaceful as labs are they still are aggressive and not appropriate community fish. Their peaceful nature is when compared to other mbuna.
Why is the yellow lab an inappropriate choice for a 29G ?

Mbuna are highly active and social fish that thrive in groups (assuming the appropriate M/F ratios). They are much too active for the space that a 29 gallon will afford them. IMO a 55 gallon tank is a minimum for any group of mbuna (or at least a 40 long, with the 48"x18" footprint, but that would really be pushing it).

Not only what sev said but adding an aficran cichlid to that stock would be a ticking time bomb...

D'OH!
I gave the wrong footprint for a 55/40 long. Should be 48"x12". The 48"x18" footprint that I posted earlier is actually that of a 75/90 gallon- an even better choice for mbuna! :thm:
