I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with 2 questions about co2 systems that I have.

1) I have just purchased a Red Sea CO2 Bio-Generator. The instructions stated that after set-up I should see bubbles after about 24hrs. Its now been over 48hrs and only a stray bubble here and there.

What should I be seeing and what would be a resolution for this problem???

2) A friend of mine has unlimited access to co-2 cylinders and has suggested that I look into this type of system. Where is a good link to read that will walk me through installation and required equipment for a pressurized system, and when people are talking about counting bubbles what are they talking about???

Thanks once again everyone

1. could be old mix or slow starting.

2. rexgrigg.com has a lot of info on pressurized CO2. read the stocky at the top of this forum. Pressurized is the way to go.

bubble counting is just that. the CO2 passes through a cylinder full of water and you literally count the bubbles.

what you need is a dual gauge regulator. you can find one on the cheap on ebay.

bubble counter or counting bubbles? you count the bubbles to see how much co2 your adding to the tank most people shoot for 1-2 bubbles per sec. it really depends on your tank. bubble counter is just something so you can easy see how much co2 is going in the tank.
