Hey, I am in the process of starting my saltwater tank and about to cycle it, I would like to make this my senior project with my last years chem teacher and I can talk about everything I had to do to make the tank, as well as the cycling tank process and the chemistry thats included. I can talk about the Ammonia, Nitrate, and Nitrite and all that stuff, does anyone else have any other chemistry or science related ideas that I can talk about in my project that can make it better? I'm going to talk to him next period so hopefully he will like the idea, I think he will, any help is appreciated!!!!

What type of tank? FO, FOWLR, Reef? Alot more chemistry is appliicable if you go reef, but it's more involved and expensive too.

There's a ton if you want to go in depth. TDS, Alk, Ca, Mg, etc.

Check this out for some ideas. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-01/rhf/index.php
