pl*co?

My curiosity can't be contained any longer. I can't figure out why some people write pl*co instead of pleco. Any takers?

Thanks for the thread and info... mine is still alive in spite of my ignorance, so I think I'll keep calling him a pleco. Maybe I'll rename him "Voldemort" though. ;)

There is another myth out there which states that the majority of people who call Pleco's... "Pl*eco's" are probably newbies. Or just very.....very... suspicious. ;)
