We are a group of engineering students at the University of Michigan, all interested in fish and aquariums! Our project this semester is to design an improved aquarium filter and we need your input! your link dont work either
"changing filter cartridges" is pretty outdated here and seems to be the basis of the survey. maybe you should make an option to select "i don't use/change cartridges"

Agree with ash..this project looks like it is being set up by people who don't really have a full understanding of the myriad options of filtration out there and the real drawbacks.

You should start a thread here to find out what people use the filters for and what they currently do. And what they want in a filter. Many of the questions in the survey were asking things not recommended to do by folks here.

of course the same question and survey on FishLore yeilded them pretty much the same results and statements
