i was wondering if you could clean/disturb/vacuum ecocomplete in any way when doing water changes? i got a few platties the other day and i notice a small poo buildup here and there...

i assume it is normal and will degrade/decay/desomething over time but i was wondering if there was something i could do to help it along.

the process of vacuuming the EC is a touch differant than standard gravel.

Simply "Hoover" the vacuum over the EC, that will pick up the detrius with out picking up the EC

Also note it does not hurt to on occasion "Prod" the EC to assure your not getting any compaction, and to release any trapped pockets.

Agreed. Eco should be treated like sand, not gravel. Stir it up a little with a chopstick then hover the vacuum tub about an inch above the surface.
