so yesterday i was at the LFS and i saw a couple fish i had to buy (even though it meant possibly over stocking). they were a pair of little killifish. im not sure exactly what kind but i beleive they are some albino strain as they are white and the male has red spots and orange and yellow fins. so i bring em home and after 30 mins of acclimating them in they go. no sooner had they gone in the female zips over to the current stream of the HOB swims around in it a bit and BLAM leaps up the waterfall right smack into the filter well.
**** fish i say and proceed to pour her out into a little bowl and put her back in. i put the filter back on the tank and five minutes later... YIPPIE! the fish leaps back up in there. again i pour out and reinsert fish.
now this happens a total of 5 times in 2 hours and finally i decide to build a fish dam out of a cd case and block the killi from leaping up.
anyone else have escape artist killis? what was your solution.
