So I have my sights set on a 65 gallon setup, but I have a question about lights. I want to grow all kinds of coral - hard, soft, polyps, etc. Does this mean I need the Halide lighting? And for a 65 gallon with the dimensions 36x18x24 what kind of wattage do I need? Also, the light he recommended me at the store was in the range of $1100, anyone know of a good website to get them cheaper?
Thanks

Metal halides for me are starting to lose the edge over LEDs, also for a fraction of the running cost and with the right watts per gallon T5 set up,you can get some fantastic results.
That said I have my eyes on a shop display tank which is 8 foot long and has 14Tmc AquaRay AquaBeams on it. It is full of many forms of coral and at the moment looks fantastic and has, in the 7 months of its trial period seen (according to the shop owner) larger than expected growth.
So far i am impressed.
