Eheim Ecco really noisy after cleaning

I just did the regular maintenance on my Eheim Ecco canister and it is making an incredibly loud rattling noise. I've tried priming it several times without any difference. Does that sound like the impeller has gone bad, or am I just not getting it primed correctly?

Could media be rattling arund in there? Mine did that when my net broke.

Anytime ANY of my filters were wicked noisy, it always seemed to be something with the impeller

After letting it run for 1/2 an hour the noise has stopped. I'm guessing it was not getting primed completely. I never had this much trouble getting it primed in the past. Thanks for the help.
