I have a tube of aquarium epoxy and it says it can be used for adhering plantlets to driftwood or decor. I have some java fern plantlets coming in that I would like to use on a cave. Do you adhere the plantlet by one of the leaves or the base? This is going into a shrimp tank so I don't want to use any string.

you will probably fine with it but i would check the drying time for it (you don't want the plants out of water too long). when attaching plants to driftwood alot of people also use super glue because it's clear it's less noticeable. also i think it dries underwater witch is noce and doesn't afect any plants or animals.

Don't glue leaves down, use the base (rhizome).

some super glues are great, they dry literally within a few seconds and keep the plants down!

I never knew that you could use Super Glue in an aquarium - thanks for the tip!

i use string in my shrimp tank, and fishing line. seems ok to me, they don't pay any attention to it
