He was my first fish (well, at least part of the first batch which went through the initial cycle). Since then there are over 20 fishes in the same tank with absolutely zero problem.
2 weeks ago, he finally overstressed one of the female and she developed ich & some bacterial infection. I removed her quickly into the hospital tank, but by then the whole tank was infected with ich. And just before she was removed, the other female got infected with fungus infection as well. This one passed away few days ago. The one in the hospital tank isn't doing very well either. The whole tank is going through the treatment right now...
With my feeble attempt at fixing the situation, I droped him into the breeding tank where he joins 1-2 month old fries (of course this happened before I realized the female was sick, hence further spreading ich to the breeding tank!). Now he started harrasing them! He even harrases 1 month old female platies!
Grrrr... Now he is in a BREEDING NET within my breeding tank which is only 10g. (Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?) Geez, the little fries are watching their father from the outside of the "cage"...
So every tank I own is going through ich treatment right now!
No clue what to do with this guy - he is hopless... :D
