well it looks like i might be picking up a tank next weekend when i had into Indianapolis for a show. From the pictures it looks like and Exo-Terra glass tank, would caust me about $25 and the dimension are 12x12x18, i'm wondering is it a good deal? here's the link.

then if it is a good deal what animal would be good in a tank this i've been wanting to set up a terrarium recently because of all the thread i've been reading on them. the thing is i think i can set up the cage but i don't know a suitable inhabitant to have it setup around.

those tanks normally go 40 - 50 bucks so its a pretty good deal.

problem is thats kind of small for many creatures. tree frogs would be your best bet, but they dont do much besides sleep. i wouldnt put darts in there either. if you want that tank 2 good inhabitants would be either Kassina maculata or Phrynomerus bifasciatus. or you could get a bigger tank. it all depends on what you want

thanks for the suggestions i'm more interested just having a terrarium then anything else, and i don't think i would get a bigger tank because thay are so expensive. right now i'm spending most of my excess cash to re-build my 30 and 5.5 planted so this might take a while to set up. but hay at least with this i don't have to spend as much on a good CO2 system.

white tree frogs would be great for that tank, and as long as you dont open the door too often so would one of the smaller day geckos. day geckos are very pretty but fast to escape if they get the chance. also very fragile, just holding one could rip its skin:thud:

i think i'm going to go with the tree frog then, don't feel to confident with fast lizards around. per as i'm pretty confident for a frog that seams to tolerate people on ocasion. any way do does any one have a good forum for Turrariums?

sorry forgot to add of the tank. :)

Exo-terra makes hoods for those tanks and bulbs for the hoods. The bulbs are easy to figure out what you'd need, they make a Desert 10.0, Tropical 5.0 and Daylight 2.0. Depending on what you want in there, you grab that bulb. I use the Tropical and Daylight for my Cresteds and Golden geckos. I love them.
