Hello, new to the hobby and the forums. I've been lurking a bit so I decided it's finally time to post. I will try to attach a pic of my 14 gallon tank. It has the same footprint as a 10g so I guess it's a 14 tall. Thanks for all of the great info so far.

Yes, I've considered snails, have not decided either way yet. Just concerned about bioload, how do they fall into the one inch of fish per gallon rule? I am running a Eheim Ecco 2232 rated up to 35 gallons, I think I am pretty well filtered.
 
the "1 inch per gal." dosnt work and nobody should be using it!

snails dont add much to the bio-load!!!

what kind of fish do you have in the tank?
