I have what I think is fungus on the base of one of my plants. It is white and stringy looking. Should I just cut the base off and replant?

Sorry, my work computer won't let me see your photo. I'll have to check it out when I get home.
You might have crushed the bottom of the plant while planting it. If they're stems remove the rotting bottom and replant.

It wont spread to healthy plants, fungus consumes rotting or dead flesh.
