.... but, how do you feed an otto when you don't have ANY algae. (Even the equipment in the tank is perfectly clean. I can't believe this.)
I only have one little otto and he's getting kind of skinny. I've tried algae wafers but I've never seen him go near them.
Any suggestions? And no, I don't want the algae back.

If you have green lettuce (not that iceberg white stuff) or spinach steam it in the microwave or a pan for a sec to wilt it, then add to the tank. I sometimes add frozen spinach, just a bit from a bag in the freezer.
Orrrrrrr, cut a slice of cucumber about 1/2" thick and anchor it to the bottom with a lead weight. They like cucumber.

Boos, one thing I forgot to mention was to change whatever veggie you use every day or two. They can get kind of funky after a couple of days.
You leave it to Anona and I......we'll solve all your culinary issues.
