I was wondering how to create a machine in VMware workstation that would return to the same state every time I used it. Like make all the work I do only temporary before it deletes what I did and reverts back to the way it was before.

What operating system are you installing to use...? If its windows based, then you can configure local group policy via MMC....

MMC ( microsoft management colnsole ) is the tool used to edit group policy objects...
Due to the complexity of editing group policy objects, i am not going to talk you through it, i am afraid....
For more info on MMC, read up here...

Well I want to use VMware Thinapp, formerly Thinstall. It instructs to install the apps you want to Thinstall on a fresh OS. So instead of installing the apps and letting them leave garbage behind after trying to uninstall them I thought it would be easier to jsut hav a fresh windows every time.
