Hi all!

I just got my first plants to add to my new 55g! I was able to get a bunch of anacharis from my LFS. (pretty cheep BTW. 2.50 a bunch)

Anywho, I was wondering how I should rinse them off before I add them to my 55g. I threw one into my 10g (My yo-yo's loved it. I'm guessing they were eating the snails from it) but the other two I want to put in the 55g to help with the cycle. Should I rinse them off? If so do I just want to use Tap Water? I remenber reading about using bleach and water but I don't want to screw anything up so I'd like to know exactly how to do that.

Thank you all once again. I hope to be able to get some more plants soon. (Low light tank if anyone has any to give/sell :thm:)

really trying to get rid of the eggs. I was just looking in my 10g and I see one snail already. And if you see one snail....

if i want my plants completely snail free i dip them in a permoxyn solution, quarantine them for two weeks, then dip once more before going into the tank. It seems drastic but eggs are really tough. The dipping is only for killing hatched snails and a freshly laid clutch will hatch within 2 weeks. Can't do this for all plants, though. The more sensitive ones will melt from the permoxyn.
