The LFS says this is a bato, but I've never heard of a bato. I've searched google for hours with no luck. It's very shy, and almost always hides (even in a group). You can't believe the hell I went through trying to get these (crappy) pics. I think may be in the catfish family, he does have two little whiskers over his mouth.

As you can hopefully see, it's bright blue with a red/orange tail.

Definately looks like the botia.
Maybe they have retards working there who just choose to call it bato...

They're probably just pronouncing it funny. Sometimes it's hard to say things right when you've only read them and not heard them said. Plant names get me all the time, lol :rolleyes:

yeah im pretty sure that is a red tailed loach. I'm not sure of the scientific ame, but thats the common name.

I have two of those guys..it is indeed a Botia Modesta. aka Orange-finned loach and Blue botia.
