I just read through a thread where Flaringshutter was able to successfully treat her goldies for a Columnaris infection (thread here (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134928)) and it looks like Columnaris thrives in conditions very similar to good snail conditions (hard, high pH water). It wasn't specifically mentioned whether or not Flaringshutter treated her snails, but she did remove them from the infected tank. I just want to specifically ask: can shrimp and snails contract Columnaris?

edit: btw that thread is fantastic info for treating and diagnosing Columnaris

Pik, no, they don't. Columnaris is purely a fish disease.

Yup, luckily for us there is very little that inverts can actually get themselves.

As I reflect back, I should have been keeping inverts a long time ago instead of brooding over the fish TB outbreak for several months with my fish.
