This sucks!

I bought my wife a Crown-Tail Betta for X-Mas back in 2006 to replace her other betta of 5 years (jumped to it's death)...

My wife just called me at work, when the tank lights came on she found the betta being nibbled on by the shrimps :yuck:

We "rescued" him from a plastic cup just over 3 years ago and he has been with us in a 10G heated community tank. He would suck fish flakes off your finger and use to puff up everytime the cat rubbed the glass...He will be missed... :(

Did I mention this sucks!!!

Sorry, man. RIP. :(

Thanks guys...

I think I might get her another for mother's day. Thoughts on bringing a new betta into an established tank with shrimp and enders?

I know that before I had a betta first and introduced shrimps and endlers afterthefact. Admittedly, there were a few "mishaps", but for the most part things went better than I expected.

:( I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a fortunate betta to have you and your wife love and care for him. :tombstone:

Sorry to hear about that, I lost one just the other day...

I think that you may have more luck with introducing the betta last. The variable is whether or not he is very aggressive and will tolerate tankmates....

I'm sorry for your loss... but a new one will be an adventure, right?
