brown algae??

at least half of the plants in my tank(30g diy co2 30w fluor.)

have a brown algae on their leaves, which i can physically rub off.


any suggestions so i can stop it re-appearing,
or is it just a manual\ algae crew job??

Sounds to me like you need a few Otos. :) From my own experience and in reading here and other places, this is usually more a problem in newish setups. My otos got really fat offa mine.

Increase the lighting and the Brown algae (Diatoms) will usually die off.
