my regulator broke after i ordered some high light plants. So right now i am only using a light strip that puts 1.3 wpg over my 29g. It could take weeks for this rex grigg regulator to get to me, from what I hear. Are these planst going to rot now without high light and co2 for a few weeks?

Ya they will rot pretty fast without those if they are high light plants

You can float them right under the light and try to keep them alive that way.

I used to have that much light in one tank. Pretty much all high and medium light plants died on me. That's why I stick with Java ferns and Java moss. They just grow and grow with minimal maintenance and light. :D

That stinks!!! The plants are definitely going to have problems. I wish I had an extra regulator to let you borrow maybe someone locally can help you out. What types of plants are they? some are more tolerable than others.

Good Luck

i have just about the hardest plants one can have, ammania gracilis and some other one. they are just about as purple/pink as you can get in the hobby. Im going to float them and maybe use excel until this regulator comes. will the excel help if i use my high lifght fixture ??? please help!!!

also, blyxa j came with these. they are being cleaned right now in a bucket of potassium p and then i will float them at the top of the tank. Will excel hold me over until this regulator comes????
